SARASOTA — 360 Orthopedics has named E.J. Ledesma its new CEO.

Ledesma brings over 20 years of health care leadership experience and management skills in operations, finance, business development and marketing, according to a press release.  In his previous leadership roles at private hospitals, he learned the value of balancing the needs of the patient experience with fiscal responsibility, the release adds.

“Throughout my career I’ve been fortunate to lead and learn from wonderful people," says Ledesma in the statement. "I am excited to be a part of the team and look forward to making 360 Orthopedics the provider of choice for patients in the Bradenton, Sarasota, and Venice markets."

Founded in 1978, 360 Orthopedics began as Sarasota Orthopedic Associates. After 40 years as Sarasota Orthopedic Associates, the group realized its name didn't reflect its growing mission and implied boundaries to its services. In summer 2019, it announced a new name, 360 Orthopedics. The group offers a full range of orthopedic services, including imaging and other ancillary services, physical therapy and aquatic therapy in a full-sized pool. It has offices in Sarasota, Lakewood Ranch and Venice.

“We are excited to have E.J. lead 360 Orthopedics," says Dr. Jeffrey Silverstei, a physician with the practice, in a statement. "Healthcare is continuously changing and it is becoming more challenging for physicians and patients to navigate. With E.J.’s experience and leadership, we as physicians can continue to focus on patient care and serve our community orthopedic needs."
