ST. PETERSBURG — To keep its doors open and help fight food shortages and hoarding brought on by the COVID-19 pandemic, Little Greek Fresh Grill, a chain of fast-casual Greek restaurants with an American influence, will focus on takeout, curbside service, delivery and a new grocery sales capability.

“With concern for the safety of our guests and employees across the country, we feel this action is necessary,” President Nick Vojnovic states in a press release. ‘We want to give back to the community, so we are offering a discount if you order online for pickup. We will bring it right to your car, offering an easy way to pick up food while maintaining social distance.”

Customers can order meals and household food and supplies at littlegreekfreshgrill.com and enter code GREEK 15 at checkout for 15% off the total.

“As CODVID-19 continues to impact our local communities, we want to help by setting up a community store tab through our online platform,” Vojnovic states in the release. “It will allow customers to purchase hard to find items, including paper products. It will be for curbside pickup or takeout when available. Prices will absolutely not be inflated.”

According to the release, takeout and curbside pickup service will be rolled out on a store-by-store basis, starting with restaurants in the Tampa Bay area. The service will then expand to Little Greek locations in Orlando and the Dallas metro area.

“Our hope is to help the communities we serve to get essential needed items and allow employees to continue to be employed,” Vojnovic states in the release. “We must all band together to weather this pandemic.”

Headquartered in St. Petersburg, Little Greek Fresh Grill has 44 locations in six states: Arkansas, Florida, Illinois, Kentucky, Ohio and Texas.
