FORT MYERS — Construction for the new global headquarters for NeoGenomics in Fort Myers is progressing, with the latest milestone being the start of on-site work.
The new state-of-the-art headquarters, just west of Interstate 75 and north of Alico Road along Three Oaks Parkway in Fort Myers, is a $60 million project. Seagate Development Group is the developer, construction manager and site contractor. The project is scheduled to be completed by the third quarter of 2021, according to a statement.
On-site work began with the installation of silt fencing and clearing of the 14-acre site, the release states. In preparation to begin vertical construction, the site required importing an estimated 65,000 cubic yards of fill dirt to bring it to the proper elevation. Seagate Development was filling at a rate of 5,000 yards per day, the statement adds, and vertical construction is scheduled to begin this month.
