NAIOP Tampa Bay presented its “Best of the Best” awards to Tampa-area developers, investors and brokers late last month.
The 2019 awards were led by Brennan Investment Group, of Illinois, which received Developer of the Year honors. Brennan, which is led in Tampa by Bob Krueger, is developing a 1 million-square-foot, speculative industrial project in Lakeland. CenterState Logistics Park East comes after Brennan delivered a 605,000-square-foot project nearby in 2017, which was fully leased before completion by Pepsico unit Quaker Oats and subsequently sold to a Los Angeles investment firm for$59.6 million. In all, the roughly $90 million CenterState East project is expected to contain 1.5 million square feet.
CBRE Inc. took home top honors as best brokerage firm from the Tampa Bay chapter of NAIOP, the National Association of Industrial and Office Parks.
Keith Bricklemyer, senior counsel at Bricklemyer Law Group, was inducted into the group’s Hall of Fame.
UBS Realty Investors’ sale of the Grand Hyatt Tampa Bay and adjacent Bayport Plaza was awarded Best Office Deal of the Year-Sale, while Fisher Asset Management’s lease at Highwoods Properties’ LakePointe One received the top office leasing deal honors.
Home Depot’s lease in Blue Steel Development’s roughly 800,000-square-foot fulfillment center won Industrial Deal of the Year, and Eshenbaugh Land Co.’s deal selling 3015 N. Rocky Point Drive was named Best Land Deal of the Year.
