NAPLES — John Whitman has been named vice president of interior design at Clive Daniel Home, where he will lead the firm’s 60 interior designers, out of offices in Naples and Boca Raton.
He has more than 25 years of experience in product design for the home furnishings industry as well as luxury interior design, according to a statement. His previous career stops include McGarvey Development, where he was also vice president of interior design. He was most recently product design manager for Surya, where he utilized his expertise in factory procurement and development in China and India, the release states.
“We are excited to have (Whitman) as a member of our senior management team, having been professionally connected with him for over 15 years,” Daniel Lubner, president and CEO of Clive Daniel Home says in a release. “We believe his industry knowledge, leadership and visionary capabilities will play a significant role in our company’s growth as we move forward into a new decade”
Whitman’s responsibilities at Naples-based Clive Daniel Home, the release states, will include assisting and supporting the design teams in developing creative solutions to design challenges and developing new business opportunities that contribute to the company’s strategic growth. He will also work with developers and architects to direct continuing projects.
“My greatest passion is being able to simultaneously blend product design and interior design,” Whitman says in the statement. “At Clive Daniel Home, I will be helping to create new lines of our own as well as work in concert with our top caliber designers and design teams in both showrooms.”
Clive Daniel Home, founded in 2011, has about 200 employees. It did $56.86 million in revenue in 2018.
