The Southwest Florida unit of Cogent Bank has named area banker Jessica Fontana a vice president, in charge of private banking for the region.
Fontana has worked in the financial industry for over 15 years in Collier and Lee counties, according to a statement, as both a private banker and commercial banker. She began her banking career in 2004 at Orion Bank in Naples, according to her LinkedIn profile, and was a portfolio manager for over a decade in the region for IberiaBank.
“I had the pleasure of working with Jessica for over a decade,” says Southwest Florida Cogent Bank President Brandon Box, who was a market leader for IberiaBank. “Her professionalism, communication skills and proficiency made her an excellent candidate to join our growing team. With her strong background in both private and commercial banking, she will be instrumental in our future growth.”
Fontana, in her new role, will be responsible for assisting high-net-worth individuals and their businesses with loan, deposit, and treasury management needs.
Based in Central Florida, Cogent Bank has five other locations around the state including locations in Clearwater, Tampa, Orlando, Orange City and Jacksonville. The bank, with $635 million in assets, expanded in Southwest Florida earlier this year.
