Experts share best-kept podcast production secrets

The Above Board Chamber of Florida has two virtual events scheduled for September, one on building audiences for podcasts, and one on the trades in Southwest Florida. Both events are on Zoom, and the registration fee for each is $10.  

The first one, "Bringing Life to Webinars/Podcasts and Create an Audience!” is scheduled for noon to 1:30 p.m. Tuesday, Sept. 3. Attendees will hear from a panel that will talk about the difference between podcasts and webinars, and how to build an audience for both, according to a statement.   

The panel includes Jennifer Trammell, director, NextGen speaking series; Connie Ramos-Williams, Chief Marketing Officer and President, CONRIC PR & Marketing and host of the SWFL Strong podcast; Cory O'Donnell, co-owner/co-host of the Florida Freakshow podcast; and Erica Queenie Castner, founder, Castner Consulting and host of Love the Work You Do podcast. The emcee will be Above Board Chamber of Florida CEO and founder Jeanne Sweeney.

The second webinar, “Respecting the Trades,” is scheduled for noon to 1:30 p.m., Tuesday, Sept. 10. “From plumbers to electricians, tradespeople are in high demand across the region,” the release states. “Experts from across the region will reveal more about these highly skilled jobs and discuss their importance to our local economy” during the in webinar.

The panel for that event includes Tim Dupre, CEO of Conditioned Air; Todd Everly, academy director at Southwest Florida Public Service Academy; Dorin Oxender, director of iTech Immokalee Technical College; and Yolanda Flores, administrative director Post-Secondary, Adult and Community Education at Lorenzo Walker Technical Institute. Sweeney is the emcee for that event as well.
