TAMPA — The Godfrey Hotel & Cabanas Tampa, a waterfront resort in the city’s Rocky Point neighborhood, has expanded its executive team with the appointment of a new general manager, Shaun Kwiatkowski, and food and beverage director, Matthew Garvey.
Kwiatkowski, according to a press release, has more than 25 years of experience in the hospitality industry. He was previously executive director of hotel operations at the Mandalay Bay Resort & Casino in Las Vegas.
Garvey, the release states, comes to The Godfrey from Four Pillars Hospitality, where he worked as vice president of operations with Four Pillars Hospitality. He has worked at Marriott properties in Seattle, San Francisco and Port-au-Prince, Haiti.
According to the release, Kwiatkowski and Garvey plan to redesign The Godfrey’s menu and create an entertainment schedule for the resort that will feature live performances, themed events and more.
