FORT MYERS — A Fort Myers-based marketing and public relations agency hired a new director for its team.

Spiro & Associates welcomed Wendy Payton to the company as its director of business development and senior account executive. She will work with the team to enhance clients’ marketing effectiveness and value by driving their brand’s vision, strategic direction and marketing programs, according to a news release.

“Wendy is here to provide strategies and practical programs that fulfill our clients’ brand potential and objectives, while capitalizing on our vast knowledge of branding expertise,” says Christopher Spiro, the agency’s CEO and chief creative officer, in the release. “She gets inside a client’s head and the inner workings of a brand to generate brand stories far beyond what is asked of her. We know that she’ll be an incredible addition and impressive asset to us and those our agency serves.”

Payton, a Cape Coral resident who founded her own firm called Payton Brands, has represented organizations in nearly every industry including Taco Bell, GE, Hunter Fan Company, University of Michigan Health System and Taylor Morrison. She also chairs the Board of Trustees for the American Advertising Federation—SWFL.
