For fishing enthusiasts who want to get out to sea quickly to put their bait in the water, there’s a new boat in Southwest Florida that promises a fast journey.

Pure Florida, a water attractions company, recently added M/V Sea Flight to its fleet. The custom-built, 45-foot high-speed catamaran will be available for deep sea fishing trips soon, according to a news release. Financial details were not released.

The company promises that Sea Flight, which has a 30-knot service speed, will be able to take anglers farther faster, which allows more time to catch trophy fish. The release says Sea Flight is a foil-assisted catamaran with an elevated hull designed to reduce drag and water impact. The vessel is powered by twin 440-horsepower Yanmar diesel engines coupled with HamiltonJet Waterjet drives. The engines achieve top EPA emission standards, which increases the performance, fuel economy and comfort for guests, the release states.

“We recognize the need to get further offshore faster,” Pure Florida CEO Capt. Harry Julian says in the release. "Our guests are telling us they want to fish deeper waters. Sea Flight’s cutting edge technology and capabilities can do that. Bringing in this new vessel shows how heavily Pure Florida is investing in our customers’ experience."

Pure Florida is helmed by father-and-son duo captains Lance H. and Harry Julian, who give their guests access to a variety of eco-excursions that incorporate sightseeing, maritime history and entertainment. Pure Florida operates 20 vessels from marinas in Naples and Fort Myers for sunset and specialty cruises as well as boat and jet ski rentals, fishing charters, group events and educational field trips for schools and students.

In addition to owning Pure Florida, the pair are also partners in Marine Team International and Pure Image Productions and provide professional marine consulting, television and video production and photography services.
