NAPLES — A multimillion-dollar renovation project at the Vineyards Country Club in Naples is now in its second phase, with a projected reopening date of early 2020.

The project’s most recent phase consists of extensive structural and aesthetic transformations and improvements, according to a statement. Phase two includes a new entry lobby and terraces overlooking the golf course; enhanced clubhouse exterior; significant expansion of Mr. P’s Pub; expansion of the bocce courts; and a new golf pro shop, locker rooms and card rooms.

“These comprehensive clubhouse renovations, without member assessments, are welcome modernizations to the Vineyards Country Club campus and will benefit the club, its members and the Vineyards community for generations to come,” Vineyards Country Club COO Paul Malonson says in the statement. “We are pleased with the construction progress and excited about our new facilities opening in early 2020.”

The Porte Cochère entryway and clubhouse have been gutted and completely redesigned, the release states. The main lobby, which previously included a fireplace and enclosed area, was opened by removing a large wall, and  lass pocketing doors were installed to allow panoramic views of the golf course and surrounding landscaping while increasing natural light in the space.

“The redesigned clubhouse offers a fresh new design scheme incorporating lots of personal touches based on the Procacci family history,” says Migena Gace of Peacock + Lewis Architects and Planners, the interior design firm selected for the project, in the release. “The open design and light color palette of sky and water colors — blues and whites — combine with new flooring, fixtures and furnishings to create a really comfortable, casual country club feel.”

The entire renovation project is scheduled for completion by the end of the year.
