SARASOTA — Partners Cindy Breslin and Kevin Skiest have opened a new French Mediterranean restaurant, Blasé Bistro & Martini Bar, in Sarasota.

Breslin has over 22 years of restaurant experience as the owner of Blasé Café & Martini Bar on Siesta Key, according to a press release. That restaurant grew from one table when it opened it in 1997 to a 100-seat restaurant with three bars and the adjacent pizza and craft beer restaurant, Pi 3.14, which opened in 2016.

Skiest, a real estate and business investor, joined the Blasé family in 2016 to help reorganize and reenergize the business, the statement adds.

Blasé Bistro & Martini Bar is at 1920 Hillview St. in Sarasota’s Southside Village. The restaurant is open Monday through Saturday. Sunday brunch and lunch service are expected to be added in the future.
