ANNA MARIA ISLAND — Waterline Marina Resort & Beach Club named Lacey Lloyd-Jones general manager of the boutique waterfront hotel.

Lloyd-Jones will oversee the hiring of new staff and day-to-day operations of the Anna Maria Island resort, according to a press release.

She joined Waterline as front office manager in December 2018. In the absence of a general manager early this year, she filled the position on an interim basis. Under her direction, the resort has made continued improvements during a busy peak season, the statement says.

Previously, Lloyd-Jones was with BPR Properties for nine years. She worked in a variety of positions, including six years as general manager of the Best Western Plus All Suites Inn.

Waterline Marina Resort & Beach Club has 37 two-bedroom suites, a 50-slip marina, 2,000 square feet of indoor and outdoor meeting space, a resort-style swimming pool and Eliza Ann’s Coastal Kitchen restaurant and bar. It opened in November 2017.

Mainsail Lodging & Development is a Tampa-based hospitality company that develops and operates lodging in the Southeastern U.S. and the Caribbean. Its portfolio includes four Autograph Collection hotels, one of which is Waterline Marina Resort & Beach Club.

“We’re very happy and proud to promote Lacey to general manager of Waterline,” says Mainsail Lodging & Development President Joe Collier in the statement. “She has truly made Waterline and Anna Maria Island her home. Her warm and sincere approach with guests and associates make her a natural fit for island life and a perfect host for the resort.”
