ESTERO — National building contractor Suffolk recently completed construction on the Building A project on the Moorings Park campus in Naples, incorporating Huddlewall technology to more efficiently coordinate work on the project.
In partnership with Moorings Park and Studio+ Architects of Fort Myers, Suffolk led the renovation of an existing 320,000-square-foot, 96-unit independent living building including the demolition and replacement of the façade including a new curtainwall system, windows and other updated features. The project also included the renovation of the residential units and common spaces installation of a new fire suppression system, new fire alarm system, as well as all associated site work and landscaping, according to a statement.
To coordinate the work, Suffolk implemented its expansive, touch-responsive Huddlewall and its Surface Hub for video conferencing. This technology allows contractors and project leaders from every aspect of the process to collaborate and develop solutions in real time, the release adds.
Moorings Park is a 402-residence, 83-acre retirement community in Estero. Suffolk, with offices across the U.S. including Tampa and Estero, previously completed several projects for Moorings Park, including construction of Building R and the community’s clubhouse addition and renovation.
