FORT MYERS — Women's retailer Chico’s FAS has expanded its partnership with Dress for Success Southwest Florida and its Women Empowered Through Employment Series.

Now in its third year, the program mentors women to enhance their career opportunities while fostering partnerships with employers, according to a statement,

Graduates who complete the six-week WETES program leave with benefits that include an interview outfit, a resumé, customizable cover letter, personalized elevator speech for selling their strengths and abilities, job search tools, social media profile, financial literacy training and a budgeting plan. Participants also complete a practice interview with participating employers and receive ongoing job search support through Dress for Success Southwest Florida, the release adds.

Based in Fort Myers, the $20,000 contribution by Chico’s FAS will enable as many as 100 women to receive career search training.

“The WETES program is specifically designed to meet the needs of unemployed and underemployed women in the community,” says Nickole Hendra, executive director of Dress for Success Southwest Florida, in the statement.
