A good Southwest Florida town requires diverse lifestyle offerings for its residents: a town square, a popular school, restaurants, swimming pools, natural recreation opportunities and medical facilities.
The new town of Babcock Ranch offers all of those, factors that have contributed to developer Kitson & Partners surpassing 250 homes sales in December.
There was only one element missing, until now.
Babcock Ranch recently announced Babcock National, a golf course community to be built by Lennar in the new town under development in northern Lee and southern Charlotte counties northeast of Fort Myers. The centerpiece of Babcock National will be an 18-hole golf course designed by Gordon Lewis. Amenities include a fitness center, tennis center and community clubhouse with home pricing starting in the $200,000s. Sales are expected to begin in the first quarter of 2019.
“A golf course community is the perfect complement to our goal of creating a new, diverse town,” Laura Keller, senior vice president of marketing and sales of Babcock Ranch developer Kitson & Partners, tells Coffee Talk. “Golf is part of the Southwest Florida lifestyle, and we had many visitors asking when it would be available.”
In mid-December, Babcock Ranch recorded its 254th new home contract. The solar-powered town features seven homebuilders offering more than 50 home designs including twin villas, cottages, town homes, single-family executive, manor and custom homes from 1,400 to nearly 5,000 square feet. Prices are from the $190,000s to $1 million. Builders include Florida Lifestyle Homes, Fox Premier Builders, Homes by Towne, Lennar, Pulte Homes, Solara Homes by Banroc and Stock Classic Homes.
