Product by area company now available at pharmacies

SARASOTA — Omeza omega-3 oil spray is now stocked in two independent pharmacies in the Sarasota area.

Sarasota-based Omeza is a skin innovations and life sciences company that specializes in skin care and wound management products from the sea.

According to a press release, the product was previously sold only on Amazon. It is now available at Sarasota Apothecary and GulfCare Pharmacy. Omeza plans to select additional pharmacies to carry the product in other geographic markets.

“We know that some of our users will enjoy the ability to converse with pharmacy staff, place a phone order and have their Omeza products shipped to them,” says Omeza President and COO Sarah Kitlowski in the statement.  

Omeza, founded by Thomas Gardner, a former medical technology and consumer health care executive, is based on Griscom Bettle’s intellectual property contribution, the release adds. In partnership with Dr. Desmond Bell, the core ingredient formulation of the Omeza product line was created to support an increase in the healing rate of venous leg ulcers.
