BRADENTON — Austin Boyd has been named president of Boyd Insurance & Investments, where his father, former Florida State House Rep. Jim Boyd, R-Bradenton, is CEO.
According to a press release, Austin Boyd is the third generation of the Boyd family to lead the company’s team of nearly 30 insurance and investment professionals. Boyd rose to the role of president after the retirement of Pat Osborn.
Most recently, Austin Boyd was vice president of commercial lines with the firm, the release adds. He joined the company in 2013 as a commercial account executive after working as a portfolio risk analyst at Sarasota-based Global Financial Private Capital.
As president, Boyd launched a campaign to refresh the company's branding. The company has unveiled a new website, logo and tagline.
“Our recent brand refresh is an exciting new opportunity to enhance expectations of what the community and our clients should see, hear and expect from Boyd Insurance & Investments,” says Austin Boyd in the statement. “It was of the utmost importance that the Boyd brand primarily emphasize our commitment to building relationships and serving our local community through all of life’s seasons.”
Boyd Insurance & Investments was founded in 1974.
