Do know someone who started with little more than an idea and ambition and used them to build a successful business?

How about someone with a knack for seeing and capitalizing on opportunity? Someone who leads his or her business with integrity and intelligence, inspiring other entrepreneurs?

The Business Observer seeks business leaders with all of the above and more for its 2019 Entrepreneur of the Year award. The winners will be honored at a special luncheon May 23, where they can engage with each other and business community leaders.

We are looking for three kinds of entrepreneurs: rookies, or startup executives, people who have been running a business for five years or less; serial entrepreneurs, who have started at least three businesses; and builders, who have overseen the same successful business for at least five years.

Nominees should also be visionaries and leaders who have overcome obstacles to lead their companies to great achievements. Companies must be based on the Gulf Coast, from Tampa and Lakeland through Naples.

For more information, or to nominate someone, please e-mail Mark Gordon with the name of the nominee, business and a brief description of what makes him or her standout at [email protected] or call him at 941-362-4848.
