Veteran banker promoted to new leadership post

Rudi Hamer has been with the Sanibel Captiva Community Bank for two years.

FORT MYERS — Sanibel Captiva Community Bank has promoted Rudi Hamer to assistant vice president and commercial relationship manager.

Hamer will be responsible for managing a portion of the bank’s existing commercial loan portfolio and expanding existing commercial relationships, according to a statement. She will also continue to develop new business for the bank, including deposit growth, homeowners association loans and small business lines of credit, the release adds.

Hamer has been with the bank for two years, serving most recently as a commercial lending assistant. She relocated to Southwest Florida in 2017 from Pennsylvania, where she worked for FWF Insurance as a licensed commercial and residential insurance agent, the release states. She has more than 25 years of banking experience working in the commercial and residential lending fields.

Sanibel Captiva Community Bank has nearly $450 million in assets.
