FORT MYERS — Lee Health named Darcy Allen vice president of operations and chief nurse executive at Lee Memorial Hospital.

Allen joins Vice President of Operations and Chief Physician Executive Dr. Scott Wolf in a shared leadership model called a dyad in her new role, according to a statement. Together, Allen and Wolf will focus on collaboration, standardization, quality, safety, reliability and patient experience at Lee Memorial Hospital, the release states.

Allen brings nearly 20 years of nursing experience, including leadership roles, to her position with Lee Health.

“We are excited to have Darcy join our team,” Lee Health Chief Officer, Hospital Operations Scott Kashman says in the statement. “She brings a strong clinical and leadership background, as well as a collaborative spirit to her new role at Lee Memorial Hospital.”

Prior to joining Lee Health Allen was chief nursing officer at Inova Medical Center in Fairfax, Va., an acute care and academic 400-bed hospital. She also spent seven years at Kaiser Permanente in California, where she held multiple positions, including assistant nurse manager, department manager, clinical adult service director and director of nursing.

Lee Memorial Hospital is a 415-bed acute care facility and the flagship hospital for Lee Health, one of the largest nonprofit health care organizations in the region.
