Local businessperson was frustrated by not having a great downtown spot for a business or special occasion lunch... so he created one.
Jim Abrams, local entrepreneur who launched a number of successful national businesses from downtown Sarasota - Fyzical, Clockwork Home Services, Buy Max, American Dreams Restaurant Group and others - was disappointed that our downtown did not have a world class lunch or brunch option similar to his favorites in cities like New York, Los Angeles, Las Vegas and Chicago, so he went to great lengths to create one.
Nils Tarantik, executive chef and partner, created a menu all will enjoy. Element, located in The Plaza at 5 Points at 1413 Main Street, now offers a special place for business or other meetings. Open from 11 am - 2 pm, element has free, covered valet parking located on First Street, just east of Central Avenue with direct access to the restaurant. There is no need to worry about the weather for those special planned luncheons. Element, voted “Best New Restaurant” and “Most Romantic Restaurant” in the 2019 Herald-Tribune Readers’ Choice Poll, is now open for lunch Monday to Friday and brunch on Saturday and Sunday.
Guests may choose between the private dining room, Main Street Patio, the main dining room or the bar. The elegant, private and beautiful atmosphere with an award-winning wine list and a uniquely sourced and prepared menu served by world-class servers, provides one of the best dining experiences anywhere. Element is one of those restaurants that puts Sarasota on the map as a culinary city. Not a chain, but unique to our city. Abrams considers this restaurant as well as its sister, Duval’s Fresh.
