SARASOTA — Sarasota Bradenton International Airport passenger traffic set an all-time record for the month of July with 147,068 passengers traveling through the airport.
Traffic for July 2019 was up 42% over July 2018, according to a press release. Year-to-date passenger numbers are up 40% with 1,135,173 passengers using the airport so far this year.
“With eight new routes added just this week on Allegiant Air, SRQ now offers nonstop service to 37 destinations," says Sarasota Bradenton International Airport President and CEO Rick Piccolo in a statement. "We are excited to see the nonstop choices at SRQ continue to expand. The eight airlines servicing SRQ offer a wide range of products for both business and leisure travelers alike ranging from business class seating to basic economy with fares at ultra-low prices."
Over the past year and a half, Sarasota Bradenton International Airport has added two new airlines, Allegiant Air and Frontier Airlines, and 26 new destinations.
