TAMPA — New Orleans-based law firm Adams and Reese has welcomed Edmund Whitson III to its commercial restructuring and bankruptcy practice and named him a partner. He will practice at the firm’s Tampa office.
According to a press release, Whitson boasts decades of experience in bankruptcy-related litigation. He has represented banks, receivers and financial institutions in matters involving asset recovery, asset sales and fraudulent transfer litigation.
Whitson has worked extensively with insurance company and private equity group clients in the Tampa Bay area, the release states.
His practice also includes creditors’ rights, landlord-tenant, commercial lending and real estate lending and development issues, as well as litigation related to real estate and non-compete agreements.
