TAMPA — GrayRobinson, P.A., has entered into an agreement that forms a strategic alliance between it and Tampa-based labor and employment law firm Thompson, Sizemore, Gonzalez & Hearing, P.A.

According to a press release, TSG&H attorneys, who handle both private and public sector cases, will work at GrayRobinson’s office in downtown Tampa.

“We’re pleased to join forces with this prestigious group of lawyers, and we’re excited about the opportunities this alliance provides for our clients,” states Mayanne Downs, president and managing director of GrayRobinson, in the release. “I’ve had the honor of working directly with this firm for some time, and we couldn’t be happier to add them to our employment team.”

TSG&H attorneys, the release states, boast expertise in a wide range of issues, including employment discrimination, union avoidance efforts and defense, employment torts, collective bargaining, contract negotiation and labor arbitration, wage and hour compliance defense, family and medical leave, occupational safety and health, human resource and policy development, class-action defense, education law and ERISA claims.

“GrayRobinson reached out to us a few years ago about this combination and we have been discussing the opportunity since then,” states Gregory Hearing, who will join GrayRobinson as a shareholder, in the release. “GrayRobinson’s platform gives us the administrative support and resources to continue to grow our practice. Its entrepreneurial culture aligns well with our firm and will allow us to seamlessly continue providing the best service to our clients. This is a strategic decision giving us the opportunity to focus on what we do best — defending Florida’s employers.”
