SARASOTA — United Airlines will add twice daily nonstop service from Sarasota Bradenton International Airport to Washington Dulles International Airport.

Service between the airports will begin Oct. 27 using Embraer 175 jet aircraft, according to a press release. Washington Dulles International Airport is in the suburbs of downtown Washington.

“We are excited about the continued growth of United Airlines at SRQ and the addition of Dulles International Airport to our growing network of 29 destinations," says Sarasota Bradenton International Airport President and CEO Rick Piccolo in the statement. "This new service will provide our customers more choices when traveling to or from the U.S. Capital Region and provides three international gateways on United when coupled with existing service to Chicago (ORD) and Newark (EWR)."
