Airports rank among best in the nation in overall satisfaction

J.D Power study rates Southwest Florida International third, Tampa International fourth in respective categories.

FORT MYERS — Southwest Florida International Airport in Fort Myers earned the highest ranking among airports along the Florida Gulf Coast in their respective categories in J.D. Power’s 2018 North America Airport Satisfaction Study. 

With a score of 810 of a possible 1,000 points, the airport, under the call letters RSW, ranked third among the nation’s medium-size airports. In the large airport category, Tampa International Airport ranked fourth in the nation with a score of 799.

In its 13th year, the J.D. Power study measures overall traveler satisfaction with mega, large and medium North American airports in the areas of terminal facilities; airport accessibility; security check; baggage claim; check-in/baggage check; and food, beverage and retail. Overall, RSW ranked best in Florida for traveler satisfaction.
