NORTH PORT — West Villages Florida announced that 86 homes were sold in August in the master-planned community in south Sarasota County.
According to a press release, the latest sales numbers bring the community's total home sales to 838 for the year so far.
Eight homebuilders are building in West Villages. Prices range from the $200,000s to the $600,000s and up, the release adds.
"Sales and visitor traffic at Grand Palm in West Villages have been robust throughout the year, as we continue to attract people from throughout the country,” says one of the builders, Neal Communities Founder and Chairman Pat Neal, in a statement. “Our homebuyers tell us they chose Grand Palm because of the quality of the homes, the excellent variety of amenities and the numerous nature trails, preserves, lakes and green space.”
In 2017, John Burns Real Estate Consulting named West Villages Florida the fifth fastest-selling master-planned community in the U.S. The community includes more than 15,000 acres. It is being developed by Mattamy Homes and Vanguard Land.
