FORT MYERS — GCM Contracting Solutions, a design-build general contractor based in Fort Myers, has promoted Rudley Lewis to vice president of construction.

He will be responsible for day-to-day construction operations, creating and managing budgets, writing contracts, helping design construction plans and maintaining a hands-on role in the construction management process. He also will hire project managers and supervise the project management team, the release adds.

Lewis has 35 years of experience in the construction industry, joining GCM in February as a project manager. He previously served as an executive operations manager and project executive in New York for nearly two decades.

“Rudley has proven to be a key player and leader here at GCM, in a short period of time,” says GCM President Robert Brown in the statement. “His extensive knowledge and experience in the industry will contribute to the overall success of the company.”

Founded in 1988, GCM Contracting Solutions is a design-build general contractor providing turn-key construction services and specializing in architectural and structural design, tilt-up concrete construction, dry stack boat storage facilities, smart storage solutions for marinas, and coastal and waterfront erosion containment systems.
