NAPLES — DeAngelis Diamond has named veteran construction industry attorney Christian Young as general counsel. He joins the Naples-based general contractor after working with national contractor Suffolk, where he served as assistant general counsel.

Young will advise on all negotiations for construction management, program management, design-build, IPD, subcontractor and all other agreements; as well as collaborate with operations, risk management and talent teams to identify risks and implement risk mitigation strategies.

“We are honored to have a person with Christian’s technology and construction law experience join our executive leadership team,” says DeAngelis Diamond co-founder David Diamond in a statement. “With DeAngelis Diamond’s growth in new markets and innovative technology developments, Christian will be a valuable team leader having a positive impact in protecting our intellectual properties, developing solid project agreements and training our team members through our DeAngelis Diamond Academy.”

Over the past 11 years, Young has partnered with corporate executives negotiating and drafting business and legal terms for construction management, design-build contracts, IPD and subcontracts. He is also a seasoned trial attorney and has managed all aspects of complex construction, product liability and general liability litigation.
