Pre-construction firm begins construction on two large projects

EHC paving the way for MY Shower Door/D3 Glass and Luminary Hotel projects in Fort Myers.

FORT MYERS — A Naples-based pre-construction firm has been awarded contracts for two high-profile building projects in Fort Myers. EHC, which provides earthwork and infrastructure services, has begun development of the MY Shower Door North American Headquarters/D3 glass manufacturing plant off Alico Road and Luminary Hotel on the downtown waterfront.

Contracted by Chris-Tel Construction, the MY Shower Door facility will house its corporate offices, training facilities and distribution activities, according to a statement. It will also be used by D3 Glass to manufacture, temper and laminate glass. The 7.5-acre campus will include a 60,000-square-foot multi-purpose building with the option to expand another 10,000 square feet. EHC is providing pre-construction, erosion control, clearing, pond excavation, import fill, earthwork, subgrade base and asphalt paving as well as site concrete including sidewalks and curbing, the statement adds. 

EHC is also working with Manhattan Construction Group for Mainsail Lodging & Development on Luminary Hotel, a new downtown Fort Myers hotel adjacent to the Harborside Convention Center, the release states, It will provide earthwork and earthwork-related activities for the hotel’s foundation for the 12-story waterfront hotel.
