FORT MYERS — Target Roofing & Sheet Metal has completed an extensive re-roofing project at Estero High School to repair damage caused by Hurricane Irma. The project covered 210,000 square feet of roof space.
The commercial roofing specialist headquartered in Fort Myers provided new sloped metal roofing across 160,000 square feet, plus the replacement of an additional 50,000 square feet covering flat portions of the school’s roof. The project included 1.5 miles of new gutters and matching fascia, according t oa statement
“Immediately after Hurricane Irma, we worked with The School District of Lee County’s insurance company to make emergency repairs to the roof at Estero High School, all at no upfront cost to the district,” says Casey Crowther, president of Target Roofing & Sheet Metal, in a statement. “The project took a long time to complete, but we didn’t want to disrupt the learning environment with construction equipment or noise. That meant drafting a meticulous project schedule whereby our crews worked predominantly on weekends, school holidays and breaks.”
The project manager was Brian Justice and the job superintendent was Richard Woytik. Gulfpoint Construction awarded the contract to Target Roofing on behalf of the school district.
