VENICE — Window and door manufacturer PGT Innovations appointed John Engelstad to the newly created position of chief information officer.
According to a press release, Engelstad has more than 15 years of experience. In the role, he will set objectives and strategies for the information technology department, oversee the selection and implementation of new technology to streamline internal operations, and identify technological opportunities to improve the customer experience across all brands for PGT Innovations.
Engelstad most recently served as chief information officer for Western Window Systems, which was acquired by PGT Innovations in August. There he oversaw development and implementation of the company’s technology strategy and programs, including an online quoting and manufacturing resource planning system.
Before joining Western Window Systems in 2015, Engelstad held several senior positions at Bank of America.
“As we continue to grow both within our core market of Florida and through strategic acquisitions like Western Window Systems, we continue to invest in our organization," says PGT Innovations President and CEO Jeff Jackson in a statement. "We are transforming our business for the future and it’s important that we have an I.T. function positioned to protect our information technology and accelerate our evolution as a national window and door company.”
