FORT MYERS — LeeSar and Cooperative Services of Florida Inc. named Jennifer Reverendo vice president. She will be responsible for overseeing the operations, performance and growth of the group purchasing organization. Her immediate focus is to develop a clinically integrated physician engagement model that will support LeeSar/CSF members’ evolution into a value-based market, according to a statement.

Based in Fort Myers, LeeSar/CSF is one of the region’s primary medical supplies distributors.

Reverendo has more than 20 years of supply chain experience in manufacturing and health care. She has experience in sourcing, financial and operational analytics and business systems support. She also has expertise in physician engagement and clinical value analysis.

“As CSF transforms to being a more clinically integrated regional GPO, having experienced leadership who can connect with physicians is so important. Jennifer has that experience,” says Bob Boswell, president and CEO of LeeSar/CSF, in a press release. “I am confident that with Jennifer on board we will make the changes necessary to deliver greater value to our members.”

Since 2008, Reverendo was system director of clinical value analysis for Ohio Health.

With more than 500 employees, LeeSar/CSF is undergoing a $20 million expansion. In 1998, Lee Health and Sarasota Memorial Healthcare System developed LeeSar/CSF as a means to reduce costs for medical goods and services while providing safe, quality patient care. They have since been joined by Central Florida Health and Jupiter Medical Center.
