FORT MYERS — A Fort Myers mansion built on what was once a Civil War plantation has been listed for sale, at an asking price of $7.77 million.

The home, the Shaddelee Plantation, is on a lot that covers nearly an acre and is directly on the Caloosahatchee River, according to a statement. It has more than 9,200 square feet of living space.

Realmark Realty LLC, run by luxury broker Ted Stout, has the listing. Stout has sold more than $500 million since he started his real estate career, the release states. Also, in the past decade he's sold the most expensive home in Cape Coral at $5.3 million; condo at $2.05 million; and lot at $1.25 million, the release adds.

The Shaddelee Plantation home, off McGregor Boulevard, has “expansive riverfront views from the sprawling outdoor living space, complete with patent-pending 55,000-gallon infinity edge double pool, spa, fire bowls and wet bar,” the release states. The property also has 103 feet of seawall and a private dock.

The fully furnished home offers five bedrooms, a den, six full bathrooms, two half-bathrooms and a three-car garage. German builder Klaus Kermel, who builds 5-star luxury hotels in Europe, handled the interior design with materials and furniture worldwide.

Other details of the estate include Swarovski crystal chandeliers; 10-foot sliding glass doors; and Sub-Zero Wolf appliances.
