NAPLES — The Naples Trust Co., a division of The Sanibel Captiva Trust Co., named West McCann president.

The company also promoted Carol Boyd to regional corporate director, according to a statement.

McCann joins The Naples Trust Co. from Northern Trust, where he had been since 2001. He was most recently managing director of the Bonita Springs and Fort Myers markets, responsible for $1.75 billion in assets under management, according to the statement. McCann has more than 30 years of wealth management and portfolio management experience.

Boyd, meanwhile, had been president of The Naples Trust Co. since 2013, the release states. Boyd will continue to care for her current client relationships in her new role. She will also embrace a wider role in Collier and Lee Counties, the firm states.

“Carol has been instrumental in the strategic direction and growth of the Naples and Marco Island markets since her arrival,” says Richard Botthof, vice chairman of The Sanibel Captiva Trust Co., in a statement.

The Naples Trust Co. and The Tampa Bay Trust Co. are divisions of The Sanibel Captiva Trust Co., an independent firm with $1.8 billion in assets under management that provides wealth management services including investment management, trust administration and financial counsel to high net worth individuals, families, businesses, foundations and endowments. It was founded in 2001.
