PUNTA GORDA — Allegiant has begun new nonstop service between Charlotte County and Nashville, Tenn., via Punta Gorda Airport.

The new year-round service, according to a statement, will operate twice weekly between Nashville International Airport (BNA) and Punta Gorda Airport (PGD). With the addition, Allegiant now offers service from 41 cities to PGD.

“Connecting local residents with additional destinations like Nashville has been a priority for PGD,” says James Parish, Punta Gorda Airport CEO. “Since nonstop, low-cost airline service to Nashville is not readily available at neighboring airports, our community is especially pleased about Allegiant’s convenient flights and new tourism opportunities.”
