ST. PETERSBURG — Effective Jan. 1, St. Petersburg-based accounting firm Strawn, Marshall, Cunningham, Condon & Sweat merged with Spoor Bunch Franz, also based in St. Pete.
The deal means Spoor Bunch Franz, a full-service accounting firm, will boast nearly 60 members.
According to a press release, Spoor Bunch Franz is itself the product of a merger. It was founded in January 2016 when St. Pete's Spoor & Associates joined forces with Clearwater's Spence Marston Bunch & Morris.
According to the release, Spoor Bunch Franz and Strawn, Marshall, Cunningham, Condon & Sweat were located in the same office building and firm principals had known each other and worked together for years.
“In this merger and with this growth we're reinforcing a foundation to best serve our clients and our employees,” states managing W.G. Spoor.
The combined firm will be based at Spoor Bunch Franz's recently opened new office at 877 Executive Center Drive West, St. Petersburg.
