CAPE CORAL — Southwest Florida commercial real estate broker Carlos Acosta recently launched his own firm, Commercial Real Estate Services.

Based in Cape Coral, the new company will serve Charlotte, Collier, Lee and Sarasota counties, and work with national and international clients, according to a statement. The company will specialize in sales, leasing, investment sales, land site selection and development and property management for commercial properties, the release adds. It will also handle tenant representation.

Prior to his real estate career, Acosta worked in sales and marketing with a Fortune 500 company, according to his website. He also ran a family-owned small business for 11 years. He's been in commercial real estate in the region since 2006, and, according to his LinkedIn profile, he worked for Grubb & Ellis 1st Commercial and one other firm in the region before he launched his own entity.

Acosta says he launched the firm to respond to a particular need in the commercial real estate market: to provide clients with better personalized attention and service. “I believe bigger is not necessarily better when it comes to commercial real estate companies,” he says in the statement.
