FORT MYERS — Beginning in November, Frontier Airlines will expand its service between Southwest Florida International Airport and six new destinations. The announcement will expand the number of airports served by Frontier from Fort Myers to 23, the most of any carrier at RSW, according to a statement.
The new flights from Fort Myers include Albany, N.Y.; Las Vegas; Phoenix; Portland, Maine; Salt Lake City and Syracuse, N.Y. Frontier will be the only airline offering nonstop service on five of these six routes. The carrier will operate these new routes with Airbus A320 aircraft, the release adds.
“We are excited that Frontier Airlines has announced service to numerous new cities from Southwest Florida International Airport,” says Jeff Mulder, executive director of the Lee County Port Authority. “With these additions, Frontier will offer nonstop service during the busy winter travel season.”
Headquartered in Denver, Frontier serves more than 90 destinations in the United States, Canada, Dominican Republic and Mexico on more than 350 daily flights.
