BRADENTON — Bradenton-based Bealls Inc. has launched a new chain of stores called Home Centric.
Home Centric is part of the Bealls Inc. family of stores, operating under the Bealls and Burkes Outlet division, according to a press release. That division has over 500 stores in the Southern and Eastern U.S.
Home Centric will sell an assortment of home products, including furniture; bed and bath essentials; beauty items; and home decor.
The first store will open in Cary, N.C., on May 3. Home Centric plans to grow throughout the Southeast and compete with other home decor-focused retailers.
“We are very excited to open our doors to the Cary community,” says Home Centric President Dave Alves in a statement. “Whether you are a novice decorator or consider yourself an interior designer, you are certain to find new inspiration for your living spaces at our Home Centric store."
Bealls Outlet stores in Florida have tested the Home Centric concept within their stores with expanded home departments offering furniture, lamps and wall decor. A statement says, "The success and learnings from the store within a store solution has been the cornerstone to this launch of the freestanding Home Centric store."
Bealls Inc. was founded in 1915. It operates more than 550 stores in 16 states.
