Award season continues, at least for Gulf Coast commercial real estate, with the Florida Gulfcoast Commercial Association of Realtors unveiling its 2017 Pinnacle Award winners.

Marcus & Millichap self-storage specialist Michael Mele won the “Overall Top Producer” and “National Investment” honors, while Mahoney Group founder Maria Mahoney received awards for “Overall Deal of the Year,” top retail transaction and the “Henry H. Blanton Lifetime Achievement Award.”

Ryan Sampson, fresh from winning a Realtors Land Institute’ award for top national land deal earlier this month, took home FGCAR’s “Deal of the Year” in the land category. Sampson, Bill Eshenbaugh and Christopher Bowers Jr., all of Tampa’s Eshenbaugh Land Co., swept the “Regional-Land” category.

CBC Saunders Real Estate founder Dean Saunders was recognized for the top “National-Land” deal.

The industrial deal of the year, together with “Regional-General Brokerage” honors, went to Commercial Partners Realty’s Scott Clendening, while Colliers International’s Alan Feldshue won “Deal of the Year” for office transactions and the “National-Office” category, given to brokers affiliated with national firms. Steven Silverman of Tampa Commercial Real Estate was awarded the investment deal of the year.

Cushman & Wakefield brokers Julia Rettig and Jessica Mizrahi received awards for “Most Transactions” as well as in the “National-Industrial” category, and the firm’s Patrick Berman and Jason Donald were recognized for “National-Retail” deals and general brokerage.

Nancy Phaneuf of Nancy Phaneuf Commercial Realty & Development; Frank Bozikovich of Commercial Partners Realty; RMC Property Group’s Jason Aprile; and Ghassan “Gus” Jadoun of Ace Commercial Real Estate were named tops in regional categories, and Kori Billings of Commercial Asset Partners Realty was selected as “Rookie of the Year.”

The awards, held March 28 at the Florida Aquarium in Tampa, were part of a yearlong commemoration of the group’s 25th anniversary.
