TAMPA — Empire Office, a national furniture dealer, plans to relocate its office and showroom into the ground floor of The Times Building in downtown Tampa.

The company plans to move in to the 6,054-square-foot space by the fourth quarter, according to a press release. It's moving from its old showroom on West Linebaugh Avenue.

“We are confident that the relocation of our showroom to The Times Building will have a positive impact on our business,” Empire Office President and CEO Peter Gaslow says in the release. “We are looking forward to sharing this new space with our employees, clients and partners in the industry.”

Cushman & Wakefield Senior Director Mercedes Angell and Director Lauren Coup negotiated the lease on behalf of Matawan, N.J.-based building owner Denholtz Associates. CBRE's Jack Hoskins and Matt Watson represented Empire Office.

Empire Office is one of the largest commercial furniture dealers in the world, with over 70 years of experience and more than 400 full-time employees nationwide. The company has offices, showrooms and warehouses in New York, New Jersey, Pennsylvania and Florida as well as an established network of national installers and warehouses across the country.

Denholtz has spent some $2 million in renovations at The Times Building.
