SARASOTA — Sarasota-based low-speed vehicle supplier Cruise Car Inc. was named a preferred vendor by the National Joint Powers Alliance, a municipal national contracting agency.

According to Cruise Car co-owner Adam Sulimirski, the contract has an estimated annual value of $18 million. The entire line of Cruise Car products is included.

A press release says NJPA has 50,000 members in all 50 states from municipalities to schools.

Sulimirski says the company has already received requests for quotes because of the contract. He says the company is now in “all-hands-on-deck” mode and he expects the contract to “make a huge impact on business.”

Cruise Car offers a variety of specialty low-speed vehicles for non-golf applications. It ships to U.S. government agencies, resorts, universities and over 30 countries, according to a statement.
