Kuhn Automotive Group in Tampa has struck up a partnership with Honcker, a mobile app that allows users to lease cars nearly on demand. Honcker says it takes just “three easy swipes” to complete the transaction and have a leased car delivered the next day.
Kuhn jumped onboard with the service because of its appeal to Tampa Bay's growing number of young, tech-savvy consumers, who tend to be less inclined to buy or lease vehicles by visiting brick-and-mortar showrooms and negotiating with salespeople.
“Honcker has brought the entire car leasing process to your phone — from selection, to pricing, to closing,” states Honcker founder and CEO Nathan Hecht in a press release. “We are providing our partners a valuable digital extension of their existing business and helping expand their consumer base to those who want an on-demand experience.”
Honcker, based in Brooklyn, N.Y., has partnered with more than 200 car dealerships nationwide in its bid to disrupt the auto leasing industry, and its selection includes some 30,000 vehicles from 20 manufacturers.
The app can also calculate a firm, accurate price for a leased vehicle based on the individual user's personal preferences.
According to the release, Honcker's creation of a fully digital auto-leasing marketplace is seeing stellar results: The company is expecting a 13-fold increase in the number of vehicles it will deliver in 2017 compared to 2016.
