FORT MYERS — Offshore Sailing School is expanding its presence in Lee County to include The Westin Cape Coral Resort at Marina Village and Tarpon Point Marina.

The new addition is a move to diversify the Fort Myers-based company's fleet across what's now four bases in Florida, says Doris Colgate, who runs the business with her husband, America's Cup and Olympic sailor Steve Colgate. The other locations are the South Seas Island Resort on Captiva Island; the Pink Shell Beach Resort & Marina on Fort Myers Beach; and the Hampton Inn & Suites in downtown St. Petersburg, according to a statement.

“As Offshore Sailing School celebrates our 54th year, we are pleased to add another beautiful resort location in Southwest Florida,” says Doris Colgate, CEO of Offshore Sailing School, in a statement.

Steve Colgate founded Offshore Sailing School in 1964.
