FORT MYERS — Edison Mall in Fort Myers announced construction has started on a $4 million renovation project.
The renovation will include changes to the mall's concourse. It will also add a new cut-through in the center of the mall near the Macy's store for women's clothing, which is separate from the Macy's location at the mall with men's clothing, children's clothing and furnishings.
The mall plans to add new retailers and relocate some existing retailers into newly renovated space.
“We are continuously looking for ways to enhance the shopping experience for our guests and this investment demonstrates our commitment to the community,” says Edison Mall General Manager Ruben Irizarry in a statement.
The mall plans to share additional details about new retailers after leases are signed, according to a press release. Edison Mall has more than 160 retail and dining options.
