NAPLES — The Naples Airport Authority elected Donna Messer chair for 2017.
Messer heads a Naples coaching, mentoring, team building and facilitation firm. She also consults on labor-management collaboration. Previously, she worked with American Airlines for three decades in a variety of executive positions.
Five citizen volunteers are on the Naples Airport Authority board. They are appointed by the Naples City Council to four-year terms to govern the Airport Authority. The other commissioners are Vice Chair Dick Evans, Ted Brousseau, Michael Lenhard and James Rideoutte.
Meetings are held monthly at Naples City Hall. The meetings are open to the public and can be viewed online at the city's website.
Naples Municipal Airport is home to flight schools, air charter operators, car rental agencies, corporate aviation, non-aviation business, fire-rescue services, mosquito control and the Collier County Sheriff's Aviation Unit. The airport hosted 95,050 takeoffs and landings during the 2015-16 fiscal year.
