Coldwell Banker Commercial Saunders Real Estate agent David Hitchcock has been named the Realtors Land Institute's “Florida Land Realtor of the Year” for 2016.

Hitchcock, an associate broker at CBC Saunders, has spent the past 40 years specializing in agricultural and residential properties.

“The Florida Land Realtor of the year award is given annually to a member of the Florida chapter of the Realtors Land Institute who best exemplifies professionalism and service in the land industry and is an active and contributing member of the chapter,” says Caleb McDow, the chapter's current president.

McDow adds Hitchcock was chosen to receive the award “because of his strong track record of land sales in Florida as well as his two years of committed service as president of the Florida chapter from January 12015 to December 2016.”

Lakeland-based CBC Saunders is regarded as one of the top land-oriented brokerage firms for land deals in Polk County and the surrounding area. Between 1996 and mid-2016, the firm generated more than $2 billion in transactional sales volume.

Coldwell Banker Commercial Saunders Ralston Dantzler Realty, a commercial real estate brokerage affiliate of CBC Saunders, generated $36 million in total deals last year, a 28% hike from 2015, the firm reported last month.
