Metropolitan Ministries continues to grow its Inside the Box Cafe and Catering concept.
The organization recently announced it would open a fifth location in The Heights Public Market inside SoHo Capital's redeveloped Armature Works along Tampa's Riverwalk. “We're thrilled to see the revitalization of our Tampa Heights neighborhood and with the opportunity to bring our Inside the Box social enterprise to The Heights Public Market,” Metropolitan Ministries President and CEO Tim Marks says in a statement. “This location will be a wonderful addition to our other outposts.”
Proceeds from Inside the Box operations directly support programs to curb hunger at Metropolitan Ministries, which has been helping Tampa Bay area homeless and other families since 1972. Participants in the ministries' culinary arts program also gain valuable skills to help with self-sufficiency. Inside the Box also recently announced it would be adding a location at Tampa International Airport, in the Airside A Terminal.
